The Expo Group family came together last week for a fun-filled night to celebrate 25 years of success in business. Gratitude and family were the words of the night, heard throughout speeches and toasts enjoyed by all in attendance — from former co-workers from the company’s 1991 start to the most recently hired employees now part of this growing enterprise.
Steve Montoux, left, was one of Linda and Ray Pekwoski’s first employees.
Cocktails, dinner and dancing were enjoyed as pictures of old trade shows, exhibits, news articles, former colleagues and teams enjoying themselves scrolled across the screen. Memories spurred led to each table electing a representative (or two…) to say a few words in honor of the 25th. Most honored not just the Pekowski family but the entire Expo Group family, a company culture all take to heart.
Ray’s first employee, Dee Cash, shared stories of humble beginnings.
The two who started it all, Ray and Linda Pekowski, were surprised with a thank you video from employees and were presented with a 25-year-old bottle of champagne by the second generation of company leadership, Randy Pekowski.

Vendor partners integral to the company’s success played a big role in the night as well. Special thanks to Airways, Employco, Laird Plastics, CORT Trade Show Furnishings, High Definition Logistics, TSI and PSAV for their contributions and enduring support.
Cheers to the next 25 years!
