The famous hotel company La Quinta Inns & Suites was looking for a partner in the experiential marketing arena to help extend their brand and emphasize their campaign targeting business travelers, “Taking Care of Business.” Through diligent personal networking and a strong commitment to premier service, The Expo Group began working with La Quinta on their exhibit properties with a long-term goal of designing a new booth to be revealed at the Global Business Travel Association annual meeting and trade show at end of the summer.
“La Quinta was looking for something that would showcase their property offerings. We created a plan to use pieces of their existing booth structure and design an environment using large back lit graphics that helped attendees feel they could just walk right into the picture.”
Working with marketing design firm Webb Mason, several types of back light options were tested including vinyl, fabric and even plexiglass. Finally, La Quinta decided to use four of the 8-foot-by-8-foot Excursion Light Box System with Dye Sub graphics. The Expo Group then designed and built a wooden structure to encase and secure the large display as well as an upgraded light tower and a fruit and water bar for refreshments. And through The Expo Group’s partnership with AV experts, PSAV, a 30-foot wide by 15-foot tall projection screen was hung 25 feet in the air at the back of the exhibit to showcase the brand experience.
Bryan reports that the show was a huge success for the client. “Not only did their booth outshine their competitors on the floor but traffic was heavy all show long.”
La Quinta’s team even sent out a tweet to The Expo Group account commending the booth during the show and using their exhibit photo as a way to further draw attention to La Quinta’s presence on the trade show floor.
