The Expo Group Turns 25
Irving, Texas – Feb 7, 2016 – The Expo Group celebrates today the 25th anniversary of its incorporation on Feb. 7, 1991. Since that time the company has been on a steady growth trajectory, building a foundation on innovation and service.
“When I started The Expo Group in 1991, we had a mission to be the best service provider in the business,” says Founder, President and CEO Ray Pekowski. “That’s now a given, and I am proud to say we have made a difference in this industry, this community and especially in the lives of our employees and clients.
“Every entrepreneur starts with a vision but it is the people of the company who bring it to life, and I am forever grateful to all the wonderful people who have been part of these last 25 years,” Pekowski says. “And this company would not exist without clients who believe in us and entrust us with their business. Pekowski and his wife, Linda, started The Expo Group to make exhibiting easier, creating a business that could offer Single Source® service and manage the supply chain for exhibitors so they could order all their services from a personal account manager either by phone in those days, or fax.
The Expo Group was in business before email and the Internet were everyday dependencies, before cell phones were in every hand and technology converged to forever alter the landscape and purpose of exhibitions and events. Being the first to market with a 24/7 ecommerce system, The Expo Group capitalized on technology to further make exhibiting easier.
