Marking 100 years of impact called for more than a retrospective. Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) envisioned a centennial celebration that honored its legacy while boldly imagining what comes next.
Level5 partnered with the GSB to design and produce a sold-out celebration for more than 5,000 alumni, students, faculty, staff, and donors. The event blended storytelling, spectacle, and interaction, transforming a milestone anniversary into a living expression of the school’s values, ideas, and future direction.
Level5 led the creative and experiential framework, shaping an environment that acknowledged the GSB’s history while keeping the focus firmly forward. Through a carefully choreographed program and immersive design moments, the celebration moved fluidly between reflection and aspiration. Visual storytelling, original video content, and scripted moments anchored the experience, allowing attendees to see themselves not just as witnesses to the past, but as contributors to the next chapter of innovation and impact.
Level5 led the development of original video content and scripts as part of a deliberately theatrical program design that blended performance, symbolism, and storytelling. Rather than relying on a traditional sequence of speeches, the program unfolded as a series of composed moments, using imagery, music, lighting, and live performance to create a shared emotional arc that resonated across a large and diverse audience.
Highlights included a performance by the San Francisco Symphony, which brought a sense of gravity and elegance to the celebration, and a symbolic moment in which telephones rang across the space, echoing the call of acceptance that has defined generations of the GSB experience. The program culminated in a live concert by OK Go, transforming the celebration into a shared, high-energy moment that felt distinctly of the moment.
Complementing the main program were immersive Engagement Zones designed to foster curiosity, nostalgia, and conversation. Level5 led the design of these Zones, creating interactive environments that invited guests to explore stories, ideas, and memories tied to the GSB’s past and future.
